Before you come in

Practice Member information.

What to expect, what to wear, and how sessions work. Read this once before your first visit.

What to expect

Your first Assessment (50 minutes): Garrett looks at how you move and what is getting in the way. You move, breathe, and participate while he uses precise guidance, simple props, and hands-on support when appropriate. You and Garrett notice what changes and decide what comes next.

Follow-up sessions: Garrett adapts the work as your body changes and introduces new movement setups when they are useful. The practice is teacher-led, not a fixed sequence to complete.

At home: Living Practice is available as a separate, one-year self-guided video practice. Garrett may also suggest ways to revisit work between sessions. All equipment is provided during in-person sessions; see recommended tools if you want to practice at home.

What to wear

  • Comfortable clothes that let you move easily, preferably pants without belt loops
  • Similar to what you'd wear for gentle exercise
  • Stretchy pants or shorts and a t-shirt or exercise top
  • No special equipment needed. We provide everything in session

Insurance and payment

  • Payment is required in advance of all sessions
  • Buy now, pay later options available
  • We don't bill insurance directly, but can provide detailed receipts for your records
  • Ask your insurance provider about potential reimbursement for alternative care

What an Assessment is

An Assessment is a real first experience of the work, not a guarantee of a particular outcome. You and Garrett will notice what changes, what does not, and whether continuing makes sense.

Missed appointment policy

If you miss an appointment, your session is considered used. We understand emergencies happen and review rescheduling requests case by case. Series participants receive one complimentary emergency reschedule per series. To reschedule, we ask for 24 hours notice.

Session tools

You do not need to bring tools to an in-person session. If you use Living Practice or choose to revisit work at home, the recommended tools page can help you choose what is useful.
